Namastey London!!

January 27, 2016

Starting from the glorious Royal palace to the historic tower bridge,London is the city of history, culture and royalty. It is the city that is there in all travelers' bucket list. But for me it was a dream come true. The city that I saw only on TV or postcards,I was actually going to go there. I felt like a toddler who suddenly got the whole candy store. Never felt so lucky before.

An honest confession, I was quite young when I visited London (not that I am very old now :P) so maybe I won't be able to to tell much about the city nor was it a life changing experience, all I can write is how amazing it feels to be in the city of your dreams. :D

Since I don't remember everything, I am going to write about my favourite moments that I still carry in my heart. 😁
1. My first favourite will always be The madame tussauds wax museum.
This was the first time I ever visited any madame tussauds and trust me I was crazy excited. The atmosphere, the music, the arrangements and the enthusiasm of the visitors altogether made me feel like I am actually in some red carpet event. Not only did I shout on seeing my favourite stars, I even hugged and kissed some of them. Yeah right, I completely lost my mind. Damn, they had so many bollywood celebs. I simply could go back home after taking pictures with them I was so so happy and content.
Apart from wax statues there is this chamber of horrors which was very creepy and scary. There is also a 4D show of all superheroes which I enjoyed with my whole family.

2. My second favourite is the London eye. Apart from being an iconic structure of London, it offers you an amazing view of the city with it's 30 minutes ride. It is not a thrilling Ferris wheel so it is open to everyone. For me it was once in a lifetime experience. The ride was definitely worth the money and the wait in the long queue.

3. My next favourite is the Tower of London with all it's fascinating history. This used to be a prison and it is believed this tower is haunted. There are various superstitions related to these place and many royal ceremonies are carried out here. It houses all the crown jewels including the kohinoor diamond.

Other places of interest are Big Ben and the House of Parliament, Buckingham palace, London tower bridge, Hyde park, Trafalgar Square, National gallery, varoius historic museums, some ancient medieval churches and a lot more.

The city has so much to offer probably one trip is not enough so I should better be planning another trip to London very soon. :D
