Sri Lanka (Part 2)

January 31, 2016

Day 2:
We left for Nuwara Eliya from Kandy. Nuwara Eliya, meaning the city of lights. As you drive along the mountains, you will see tea plantations everywhere and it gets colder as you move towards Nuwara Eliya.

We got down in one of the tea estates for   some photoshoot and lunch. They have a factory where they show how tea is processed from the leaves.

The next stop was Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple. It is believed that Lord Hanuman stayed here before rescuing Lady Seeta.

Finally after a long journey we reached our hotel.

Day 3:
Today we had a plan to visit the Gregory Lake and The Seetha Amman temple.
-Gregory lake
It's a beautiful lake to walk around or even go for boating. Or just sit down and relax. However when we got down it started raining and we couldn't do any of the above.

-Seetha Amman temple
This is the place where Seeta was held captive by Ravan. This is a beautiful temple with a lot of monkeys playing around all the time.

And this is my favorite picture. See how the cute monkey is holding Hanumanji ❤️
