(Australia travel diaries part 4)

Unlike Melbourne, Sydney is a chilled out city. Vibrant and colorful,it is definitely the party place of Australia.

It takes around 1 and a half hours from Melbourne to reach Sydney by air. By the time I reached my hotel it was already evening. The weather was good and I decided to enjoy the beautiful sight of the lighted city from my balcony.

Day 9:

Today we had a full fledged plan to roam around the city and take most it with ourselves. The first place on the list was the very famous,Opera house. 😍❤️
Opera House..the one mesmerizing piece of architecture that defines the whole of Australia.
The Opera House
We went for the one hour guided tour of the Opera house. It started with the story of the man behind this wonderful creation, the Danish architect,Mr. Utzon. His story will melt your heart. I was almost in tears. So inspiring. We were taken inside the biggest and the second biggest theate of the Opera house where world famous personalities have performed. Everything about the place was so grand. And I am sure everyday with each performance some kind of magic is created. ❤️

The next stop on our list was the Bondi beach but before that we decided to drive around the CBD area of the city. We drove past the famous Darling Harbour,The rocks,Circular Quay and many of the posh streets of Sydney.

just about to land!!
Finally it was beach time. Bondi is probably the busiest beach I have ever been to. We spent 15-20 minutes driving around just to find a place to park. There was this party vibe about this place. You know you go to a place and you suddenly feel so happy that you probably want to shout and dance and have fun fun and only fun. Well Bondi gives you that exact feeling. I badly wished I could stay there the whole day but we were running out of time and there were other things on the list too.
Told ya it's the party station :D
When you are happy and you know it take photos :D
The next stop was Royal Botanic gardens. This is a beautiful garden to stroll around or have a small picnic as well. There's this Mrs. Macquiries chair too,a tourist attraction. But the best thing about this place is it gives you a picturesque view of the Harbour bridge and The Opera House. Definitely the best location for photo shoot.
The famous Mrs. Macquarie's Chair
And this is what you get to see from the Royal Botanic Garden..amazing..I know right!!
The next stop was Sydney tower. It is the tallest building of Sydney as well as Southern Hemisphere. The whole of the city could be seen from here.
The city as a whole..from Sydney Tower
The last destination for today was Darling Harbour where we got entry tickets for Wildlife Sydney zoo,Sea life Sydney and my personal favorite, The madame Tussauds wax museum.
The wildlife zoo has peculiar species of habitats which are exclusive of Australia. I definitely encountered some of the most loved, feared and unique animals. My favorite was the cute little koalas 😍
Meet your reptile friends from the southern hemisphere :D
And the mammal friends too
The sea life aquarium has all underwater wonders out of which I loved the dugongs the most.

Mr. Dugong got some swag!!
And finally madame tussauds, the place that owns my heart. You definitely get to click photos with your favorite hollywood celebs but what is even better is you have all your favorite bollywood celebrities too. And being a hardcore bollywood fanatic I couldn't help but fall in love with Sydney even more.
