Egypt Lookbook: The Desert Girl

October 24, 2016

I am so overwhelmed with the response in terms of the pageviews I got for the first post (Click here to check that out if you haven't already) of the Egypt lookbook series,  I couldn't wait to write the second one.
The second outfit is the one I wore to the light and sound show at the pyramids.
For this outfit I had a lot of time to get ready and also take enough photos good enough for the blog. (That adds to the excitement too).

Even though there was jet lag, I felt so alive and fresh being at the land of my dreams, right by the pyramids.

So coming to the outfit, I decided to go with a boho look. In fact most of my outfits are boho inspired for the trip. Firstly because it's a desert so you automatically get the Arabian boho vibe and secondly I love boho stuff so I don't miss a single occasion to wear boho fashion. Also I wrote a post on tips for desert fashion. You can check out here.

So I wore this sheath dress in the yellowish white color and some floral and key pattern prints on it. This dress literally shouts boho. I mean I can't really explain how but I am sure you can guess by looking at it 😜. I love the three quarter sleeves. Since I didn't have much walking (I just had to sit and watch the show) I decided to go with heels. Now this is the perfect pair of boho gladiators. I love the tan color of it and the tie up thing adds to the charm. (They have zipper at the back so it's hassle free.) I accessorized with just a pair of earrings but I made sure they make a statement. So I put on these long earrings. This is one of my favorite looks. I looked like a total desert girl and even felt like one. ❤️

Tip: While traveling, do not carry more than one pair of heels. Chances are you'll wear them only once or twice, specially stilettos. Moreover avoid them if a lot of walking is involved specially during the initial days and if you are traveling to a place like Egypt then you really have to walk a lot. However, block heels or wedges are fine. But in Egypt I would say flats are a better choice.
