Party Makeup Look For Beginners For The Holiday Season

December 24, 2016

Hello there,
I hope you are enjoying your holidays, because I am not. I DO NOT have any holiday and what's more? My final exams are going on. Sometimes I wonder why I joined a medical college and most of the time, why did I join college at all!! I mean wasn't school enough!! But then I have to tell myself the world needs a superhero. Duh!!
Anyway, now that I am done with my ranting, let's move forward. So if you are connected with me on snapchat or instagram, you pretty much know apart from whining, I am very much buying make up nowadays. Like I am totally obsessed. It's such a beautiful feeling even when you just buy them. So since I am at home (on Christmas eve 😞), I decided to create a simple evening/party look for beginners. Why beginners? Because I am a beginner too (well a little bit more advanced than a lottttt of people). So if you are just into makeup then this might be useful. So just keep reading and if you are a pro then also keep reading and feel free to give me tips and ideas on how to improve in the comment section below 💓.
Party Makeup Look For Beginners For The Holiday Season

This is not exactly a tutorial but some basic products you can buy easily to get a party look.

Lakme Absolute Mousse Foundation

It's good if you invest in a good foundation. clean and moisturise your face well before using a foundation. It sets better if you use a face primer. I have used Lakme Absolute mattreal skin natural mousse. This is my total favourite. If you have oily face then this is a great option for you. It just melts into your face. It's very light and gives a medium coverage. Since I don't have any spots on my skin this works really well on me. It gives a matte finish.

Makeup Revolution Mermaid Forever Eye Shadow Palette

I recently bought this palette and I am already in love with it. 32 beautiful colours, all in one palette. Very reasonable price for so many colours and a great option for beginners. The shimmery shades are just perfect for an evening look. I used three colours from the palette. Seashell (Pearly white) for my inner corners, Land (Emerald green) as the mid tone shade and Sea (Blue) for the crease.

Maybelline Colossal Kajal

I used Crushed emerald and Jewelled jade, two colours in green and blue to give depth to my eye shadow. Also I have used them for my inner half of lower lash line and the colossal super black for the outer half of my lower lash line (You can do your lower lash line after applying your liner).

Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Liner

This is a felt pen liner. I think for beginners, a felt pen works great. I made a thin wing with it.
sugar lash mob mascara

Sugar Lash Mob Limitless Mascara

I curled my lashes and applied this mascara both on my upper and lower lash. This is a great mascara for anyone. My current favourite.
After you are done with your eye makeup, put some concealer under the eyes and above your brows to get a clean look and set your face with any compact powder.

Maybelline V-Face Blush Contour

I recently purchased this one so decided to use it for today's look. It's a three in one thing. You have a highlighter, a blush and a contour. The highlighter is for your upper part of cheek bone, just below your eyes, the blush on your cheek bones and contour below your cheek bone for the sculpted look and you are good to go. This is another good option if you have just started with makeup.

MAC Ruby Woo

And this is my favourite part. LIPSTICK 😍. I might be a beginner at other cosmetics but when it comes to lipsticks, I have like soooo many of them. I am a total sucker for lipstick. And Ruby Woo is undoubtedly everyone's favourite. This classic red is perfect for evening. For anytime. It's Ruby Woo. C'mon!!

Faces Nail paint+Coloressence nail paint

I just realised I only have a ton of pink nail paints. But today I wanted to wear red and other than the coloressence one, all my red nail paints were totally dry (this one was like half dry). So to add the party vibes, I coated the red with the Faces glitter nail polish in the shade hollywood. My nails totally look Christmassy now. Hehehe!!

Perfume

Finally put on some good perfume and you are ready to go. 💕

So here's my complete look. (Sorry for the bad quality of the pic though. No good photographer in the house 😓)
