1 Ethnic Skirt, 3 Different Outfits

January 28, 2018

Even though I love experimenting with style, I have never really gone OTT nor have I tried wearing clothing pieces differently. I always tend to buy new clothes because I feel like once I wear a piece I won't be able to wear that again. But I have decided to change that. So for this year, another goal for me is to bring out versatility of a single piece in as many ways as possible. For a shopaholic like me, it's a really tough job but I know I am creative and I will always find a way.
So, I went to dad's home town for a mini vacation last week. Even though the whole family was there, after a few days, I have to admit, it was getting somewhat boring. So, one day after taking a shower, as I was browsing through my suitcase, I found this beautiful ethnic maxi skirt. I remember wearing this once but as a dress. So I thought why don't I style it in different ways and have a fun shoot. Now I had a lot of ideas but not enough resources to accessorise the looks that moment. So I borrowed few things from my mum and dad (Yes, dad) and could able to put up three looks.

1 Ethnic Skirt 3 Different Outfits

1. As a skirt:
As mainstream as it sounds. I paired it up with a black backless bodysuit. The black colour of the bodysuit highlighted the skirt even more as a statement piece. Also, the look got a contemporary feel to it. I kept the look simple (As if I had other options!) with a pair of boho sandals.

2. As a dress:
The skirt is amazing as a no shoulder midi dress. To give it more of a street style boho look I paired it up with a denim jacket and completed the look with a black belt.

3. As a Anarkali:
This too was simple. Since the skirt is flowy, I made pleats and pinned them at a centre in front to give a defined waistline. I completed the look with a pair of brown leggings and a dupatta, a pink sling bag and a pair of black sandals.
