1 Oversized Sweatshirt, 3 different Outfits

February 11, 2018

We all have that one oversized sweatshirt that are so great and comfy that we end up wearing them all the time during the winters. But did you ever think you could wear them differently?
Before I move on to today's blog post, I really need to thank you guys for the huge response I got on my 1 Ethnic Skirt, 3 Different Outfits post. I was so happy to see so many people loved it and praised me for what I am doing. This is what keeps me going, trust me.
I didn't have any intention to create more such fashion posts but out of nowhere I got this idea and I believe it's your love and appreciation that opened the doors for more such creative ideas in my head.
So let me give you the backstory. I was organising my winter clothes to put them back since we are officially done with winters here. While doing that, I found this sweatshirt which I never really wore because the neckline was too big. I really liked the sweatshirt so I was wishing if I could at least wear it once before the winter completely goes away. And as if God was in the mood for granting wishes and also granting them in abundance, not only one, I found 3 different ways to wear it.
So, here's sharing all the 3 looks with you guys.

Note: As you can see the sweatshirt has a huge neckline. That is what is responsible for creating all the 3 looks. If you sweatshirt has a normal neckline, then you can use an old sweatshirt and use a pair of scissors to cut the neckline and you'll be good to go.

1. As A One Shoulder Off Crop Top For a Sporty Look
This is really easy. Just bring together the bottom half of the sweatshirt tightly around your waist in front and make a knot or you can use a rubber band to hold it together then tuck the knotted part inside the sweatshirt. Fold the sleeves. I wore a black bralette underneath so that the strap on the off the shoulder side shows and wore a pair of black leggings. I finished the look with a pair of sneakers.

2. As A Bardot Top For A Girly Look
This is just the same. Only I have pulled both the sleeves off my shoulders. I paired it up with a very girly midi skirt and completed the look with a pair of sneakers. So you can see how just a little bit of adjusting the same sweatshirt and changing the bottom can drastically change a look.

3. As A Skirt For A Cute Casual Look
This one is my favourite one for sure. So again Thanks to the extra large neckline (also, my waist it pretty slim), I wore this as a skirt. So what I did was tied both the sleeves at the back and tucked them inside. Now depending upon the thickness of the sleeve, the back can look awkward (bulged out) for different people when the sleeves are tucked in. So what can you do is, wear a crop top or a bralette like I am wearing in this look and complete the look with a long a little oversized shrug or jacket to cover the back. I finished the look with the same pair of white sneakers and sunglasses.

  1. Really impressive. I'm always inspired embroidery designs but feel that I may lack the patience to apply myself properly. I love your colour combinations.

  3. What amazing pieces of embroidery! Your Mother in law was very talented. I wonder if you could have these pieces made into a quilt or a large wall hanging of some sort so they can be displayed year round?
